Characteristics of Coal Slurry Aggregate Induced by Inorganic Salts

The impact of coagulant type and dosage on the clarity, zeta potential, floc size, structure a coal slurry suspension was investigated. results showed that critical coagulation concentrations trivalent ions are 0.81 mM 0.018 for coal–coal coal–kaolinite, respectively, which lower than those divalent ions. initial settling more affected by AlCl3 FeCl3 MgCl2 CaCl2, while supernatant turbidity significantly decreased at (0.06 mM) ions, consistent with classical Derjaguin–Landau–Verwey–Overbeek theory, potential results, adsorption behaviors quartz crystal microbalance dissipation. size rate induced were greater tended to have an irregular porous structure, enhancing effect. findings highlight differences in physical characteristics optimizing process produced electrical neutralization sweep-floc amorphous metal hydroxide precipitates.
